It is great to see our members having great success at home and abroad. Preparations for our own August show are moving forward with Jodi and Marion making reservations and booking of judges. WTG ladies!! I hope to see a great turnout from our members in support of our annual show.
Marion is still pushing forward with the Producing Plant and the red tape that goes with it, she is the back bone of this organization and deserves a huge pat on the back for her efforts which benefits us all! Thanks Marion for all you do!!!!!!
Christiana is working on memberships and a reminder that memberships are due.
Norma is doing an awesome job of keeping our website fresh and up to date.
This a ground breaking organization for the rabbit industry and we should all be proud and supportive of the steps forward we are taking and proud to be a part of it.
There are several attachments of articles that are very informative and hope you all get the chance to read them.

Thank You,
Brian MacDougall

We have confirmed our show in Valleyview for 2013.
It will be Aug 10 & 11. It will be held at the little blue barn on the Valleyview showgrounds.
More details will be posted in the near future.
Show secretary is Jodi Macdougall.

We have received an enormous amount of interest generated by the Western Produer article,an article in the Journal, Country Asides, Farmer Express and others.

Let me be clear in stating that the new processing facility in Valleyview will be open upon final approvals.  We CAN process rabbit  but we cannot terminate for human consumption yet. There will be a waiting term before we can terminate animals there - SO we encourage everyone to wait until that facility is fully licensed before you go out and buy a bunch of animals that you cannot process anywhere.  We are extremely encouraged by the outstanding positive results we have obtained from the tremendous response to those articles. Our industry is building and we will soon be in a different phase.  We will not be buying from just anybody but from those who are following our strict handling and transport and other requirements. We will be handling members' rabbits first and foremost.
